I conduct my London tours using a mixture of walking, public transport, taxis, etc. When planning my tours, I like to work together with my client to come up with the most suitable itinerary based on their previous experience of London, particular interests, enjoyment of walking(!) etc. and also aiming to exploit my services as a guide as much as possible.
I’ve listed below some suggestions for London walks and visits that can be included in the tour.
For a 2 hour tour you may choose 1 item.
For a 4 hour tour you may choose 2 items
A 6 hour tour might be made up of 3 items.
For an 8 hour tour you might choose 3-4 items.
Walking Tours
- A walking tour in Westminster (seeing from the outside famous sights such as Houses of Parliament/Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Horseguards, Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, and possibly see part of the Changing of the Guard ceremony if it takes place on that day.)
- The City of London (2000 years of history in one square mile).
- Soho & Covent Garden(our entertainment district)
- Bloomsbury – Legal, Literary, Medical London (A fascinating area often overlooked by tourists)
- Southwark – following the south bank of the Thames – picturesque and historical.
- East London (a very different part of London indeed – edgy, gritty, and increasingly hip)
